Bitlager is a German solar-energy blog specialising in hands-on testing and comparisons of balcony solar systems, home batteries, electric cars and Bitcoin. The site is best known for its interactive online battery comparison, currently covering 95 batteries and expansion modules.
The focus is on real measurements, long-term observation and reproducible test setups – not unboxing content.

Free: listing in the battery comparison
New batteries are added to the comparison editorially on request – at no cost and independently of any paid partnership. Paid offer and voucher placements are labelled as advertising and change neither the ordering nor the rating.
Test devices
- Loan is the default: the device is provided for the duration of the test and returned afterwards. Return shipping is covered by the manufacturer.
- Keeping the device for long-term observation is possible – in that case I ask the manufacturer to apply flat-rate taxation of the benefit in kind under § 37b German Income Tax Act (EStG).
- A device provided does not replace a fee; the two are agreed separately.
Transparency & editorial independence
- Paid partnerships are clearly labelled as advertising in the article.
- There is no right of approval over the text. Before publication the partner gets 48 hours for a factual check only.
- Critical or negative findings are published as well; the fee is unaffected.
- No ratings, rankings or placements are for sale.
